New Family Welcome

Dear Family,

Welcome to Wilder Elementary! We are so excited you are joining our wonderful school community. We know the process of starting at a new school can be overwhelming. The Welcome Committee is here to do what we can to make the transition as easy as possible.

How can we help you? First, we would recommend checking out the Frequently Asked Questions page. We are always here to help with the following questions and anything else you'd like to ask about Wilder:

Starting at Wilder - how to handle the paperwork, finding information about the bus, and for school overall

Introduce you to the Wilder PTSA - volunteering for the PTSA or in the classroom, and who to talk to about volunteer opportunities

Additional opportunities - provide information about extracurricular activities at Wilder and in the community at large

We look forward to talking with you about the school, pointing you to resources, and sharing our experiences.

New Families Event with School Tour: Monday, August 27, 10:30 AM - 11:30 AM

Come to the Wilder Commons for a casual gathering to meet other new families and ask questions

Our 4th and 5th graders will be conducting school tours for your students and the office will be open for any questions

Please note, teachers will not be present for this event

Wilder Open House: Thursday, August 30, 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM*

Plan to come with your child(ren) to meet your teacher and pick up all of your information for school

11am - 12pm: Meet your teacher and see your classroom

*Recommended Open House attendance to reduce traffic congestion:
- 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM: Kindergarten - 2nd Grade
- 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM: 3rd - 5th Grade
