What is WAG?

Wilder About Giving (WAG) is the Wilder PTSA’s annual direct-giving campaign. Instead of selling wrapping paper or cookie dough, we ask families to make one tax-deductible donation that goes straight to work for our students. WAG funds core classroom needs, community events, and enrichment activities that benefit every student, teacher, and family at Wilder.

Our goal this year is $40,000, which fully funds the 2026-27 PTSA budget. Every dollar stays at Wilder.

These levels are suggestions to help Wilder PTSA reach its $40,000 annual goal. Donations of any amount are welcome, honored, and recognized. Many employers match charitable gifts, so check whether yours does to double your impact.

Where your donation goes

WAG directly funds the PTSA-sponsored programs and activities that make Wilder a great place to learn:

In the classroom

Classroom funds for every teacher and specialist ($20 per student)
Classroom and art supplies
Library book additions
Staff funds and teacher development

Around the school

Stipends for teachers, staff, and aides who help with the parking lot, lead choir, run 5th grade Algepros, and coordinate assemblies
Positive behavior interventions
Inclusion programming support
Student and teacher awards and recognition

Recognition and classroom prizes

Your family’s contribution will be recognized on our WAG Wall of Gratitude in the school lobby and on the WAG website (unless anonymity is requested).

The three classrooms with the highest participation will earn special recognition and classroom parties! Participation, not dollar amount, is what counts, so every gift helps your student’s class.

Donation timeline

We are accepting Wilder About Giving donations now through Friday, October 9, 2026. All donations received by this deadline count toward the classroom prizes. Donations are welcome all year long.
