Texture
Texture is one of the seven main Art elements.
Texture is the feel of a work of art. Typically, we think of texture as something we can actually feel. This is called REAL texture. However, artists can create IMPLIED texture by drawing or taking rubbings or prints that create the illusion of texture.
Check out the amazing ' Forest of Texture Trees' created by Wilder artists using the mediums: oil pastel, chalk rubbings, paint prints or drawn texture using leaves, bark, sponges, foil, etc. to create the trees and leaves. Way to create texture!
