Math Challenge 2025-26: Let the Adventure Begin!

Hey there, Wilder Elementary math explorers! Get ready to blast off into a world of puzzles, patterns, and problem-solving fun with our FREE Math Challenge enrichment adventure—no sign-up needed, just jump in and start solving!

What’s The Scoop?

We’ll be launching 15 exciting sets of brain-boosting challenges throughout the school year—about one every other week. Each set includes 10–18 math problems, ranging from warm-up level to wow-worthy brain benders. Whether you're just dipping your toes into math or already a number ninja, there's something for everyone!

Because math is more than numbers—it’s a superpower! Stretch your thinking, sharpen your skills, and discover how awesome math can be when it’s part of a school-wide adventure.

General Info

  • Totally free and no registration required!
  • Open to all students from Kindergarten to Grade 5
  • 15 challenges spread across the school year
  • Check the calendar below for challenge release dates and solution availability

How to Participate

GET the challenge: challenges will be sent home in “Take Home Folders” and posted online at:  mathinaction.org/laura-ingalls-wilder-elementary.html
SOLVE the problems: tackle at least the required number of problems for your grade level—bonus points for going above and beyond!

SUBMIT Your Work:

Two easy ways to turn in your solutions:
1. Drop off a printed copy at the office by the due date
2. Snap a photo and email it to math@wilderptsa.net

Recognition & Prizes

  • Every student who submits on time gets a shout-out on the Cafeteria Math Board, in the PTSA Newsletter, and during morning announcements.
  • One lucky student per grade will be randomly selected for each challenge.
  • Submit 10 challenges to earn a certificate and prize.
  • Submit all 15 challenges to win a gold medal, plus your prize and certificate!
