Heritage and Culture Night

Heritage Culture Web Banner (2)
Join us for an exciting night to celebrate the many diverse cultures of Wilder!
This will be a wonderful evening for our children to learn about places around the world that they may or may not have traveled to, to try foods that are different from what they eat at home, and learn games and traditions of their friends and fellow students.  It is a fantastic opportunity for families to host a table to share their traditions, important holidays, and celebratory foods and treats from their family and culture. These can be shared through food, games, clothing, informational posters, music, display of instruments, art or tapestries.  Have another great idea you aren't sure about? Ask us!

NOTE: there will be only ONE table per county/culture. A table is half of a lunchroom table. Multiple entries for a country will be contacted through email to work together on a table.

What you do with your host table is entirely up to you and your group/family. Here are some ideas:

  • Fill your table with items from your country/culture
  • Fill a poster board with pictures of your country/culture
  • Prepare an activity or handout (example: Henna tattoos at the Indian table; games at Cuba table; flags to color)
  • Play music
  • Serve traditional food. The food is fantastic and the most popular attraction!

Volunteers are needed to make this event successful! Thank you for signing up for a shift above.

Concessions will be available for sale at the event. All items must be purchased with tickets. Tickets can be purchased in person at the event.
