PTSA Open Positions 2020-2021

Wilder PTSA is recruiting for the following open positions. Please email Frida or Bhavya if you are interested in participating as a board or chair member, have any questions, or want to learn more. 

Newsletter Co-Chair: This person will collect newsletter articles, put the articles together and prepare the newsletter for delivery. Strong English writing and editing skills are helpful as well as knowledge of websites or ability to learn how to update a website.

Traveling Art Museum Co-Chair: This person will work with the Co to schedule the Traveling Art Museum to come to the school and attend the training. When delivered, they will coordinate set up, art docent training and classroom visits.

Beautification Chair: This person will coordinate with Scout troops and the school community to care for the flower beds around Wilder. They will plant seasonal flowers in the pots and hold clean up or planting days as necessary for the school.

Spring Dance Co-Chair: This person will coordinate with the dance instruction vendor to schedule dance week and then plan the dance at the end of the week.   

Marathon Club Co-Chair: This person will run the marathon club in the fall. They will gather volunteers to help the students run during recess and track their progress. 

Popcorn Friday Co-Chair: This person will schedule monthly Popcorn Fridays. They will gather volunteers to help pop popcorn and sell popcorn during lunch recess.  

Carnival Co-Chair: This person will help run Carnival in the fall. They will schedule vendors, promote the Carnival through the newsletter/fliers and manage the activities chairs. They will coordinate ticket sales and set up and clean up.

Bulletin Board Chair: This person will change the bulletin board in the cafeteria for all events. This will take about 2 hours to change out each time. There is about 1 event a month.
