Art Challenge – Line

One of the most seemingly simple and yet complex element is: LINE. A line is a line after all, isn't it?

By definition it is: a mark made using a drawing tool or brush. But, there is much more to it in the variety of lines: thick/thin/horizontal/vertical/zigzag/diagonal/curly/curved/spiral to name a few.

And yet, lines go even deeper. Lines show and create moods and movement that are often implied not just drawn. Check out these famous pieces: Jeramy II (by Frank Stella), Classic Landscape (by Charles Sheeler), The Farm (by Joan Miro). (A great place to check out more is:
